Directions on how to take
Swallow whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. This medicine may be taken with antacids if your doctor has instructed you to take antacids. Do not miss any doses. For best results, continue taking this medicine for the full course of treatment even if you feel better in a few days. If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Warnings and Precautions
If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, check with your doctor. For women: if you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. It is unknown if this medicine is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Possible side effects
Side effects may include headache, dizziness, diarrhea, or nausea, swelling of hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing; hoarseness; or rash. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Storage
Store this medicine at room temperature, away from heat and light and keep out of reach of children.
Additional information
Additional monitoring of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking itraconazole, ketoconazole, or voriconazole. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
